Privacy Policy
The short version. We collect the minimum a dating app needs: an email to log you in, one photo, one line, a birthdate to confirm you are an adult, and your messages. No ads, no data brokers, no selling. Silent connections and dormant accounts expire on a fixed schedule, and everything is deleted after 12 months of inactivity or the moment you delete your account.
1. Who is responsible
Amor Mío, LLC, a Florida limited liability company based in Tampa, Florida, is the data controller for the Amor Mío app and amormio.love. Contact: hola@amormio.love.
2. What we collect
- Account: your email address and one-time login codes. We never see a password because there isn't one.
- Profile: your name, birthdate, one line about you, the circle you choose, one photo, and the country you tell us you are in. Your age (not your birthdate) and country are shown to other members.
- Activity: hearts you send and receive, connections, messages you exchange with your Chosen Heart, when you were last active, blocks, and reports you make or that are made about you.
- Purchases: product, transaction identifier, and receipt data passed to us by Apple or Google so we can grant what you bought. We never receive your card number.
- Technical: device type, app version, IP address, and basic request logs kept by our hosting providers for security and reliability.
- Waitlist: if you leave your email on amormio.love before launch, we store it to send the download link.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, or anything from other apps. We do not use advertising identifiers or tracking pixels.
3. How we use it
- To run the Service: log you in, show your card to other members, deliver messages, and grant purchases.
- To keep people safe: act on reports and blocks, detect fake or underage accounts, and enforce our Terms.
- To send service messages: login codes, the launch link, notices about your connections (for example when a silent connection is let go), and material changes to our Terms. We do not send marketing email.
- To comply with law and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use your data to train artificial-intelligence models, and there is no matching algorithm: the Destiny Queue shows members in your circle in largely random order, with paid Spotlight and mutual interest surfaced first.
4. Legal bases (for members in the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions)
We process your data to perform our contract with you (running the Service), for our legitimate interests (safety, security, preventing abuse), to comply with legal obligations, and, for your photo and profile line, on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw by deleting them or your account.
5. Who sees your data
- Other members see your photo, name, age, line, circle, and country. Once connected, your Chosen Heart sees your messages. Nobody outside a connection can read your messages.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Supabase (database, authentication, storage — United States), Cloudflare (hosting, network, email routing), Resend (transactional email), and Apple and Google (app distribution and payments). Each may only use your data to provide its service to us.
- Legal and safety: we may disclose data when required by law, subpoena, or court order, to protect the safety of any person, to investigate fraud or abuse, or to enforce our Terms. We may share a report and related messages with law enforcement when we believe a crime has occurred.
- Business transfer: if Amor Mío is acquired or merged, your data may transfer to the successor under this same policy.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. How long we keep it
- A connection with no messages for 14 days is let go automatically. Messages in a let-go connection are kept for 30 days (the Last Bite window) and then deleted, unless a report is pending.
- Profiles unseen for 30 days are hidden from the Destiny Queue.
- Accounts inactive for 180 days become dormant and their photo is removed from active storage.
- Accounts inactive for 12 months are deleted, along with profile, messages, and purchase records, except records we must retain for tax, accounting, or legal purposes.
- When you delete your account, your profile, photo, hearts, connections, and messages are deleted immediately. Reports about you, blocks by others, and purchase records may be retained for up to 3 years for safety and legal compliance.
- Backups roll off within 30 days of deletion.
7. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction: your profile is editable in the app at any time.
- Deletion: Me tab → Delete account. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
- Portability: email hola@amormio.love and we will send you a copy of your profile and messages within 30 days.
- Objection and restriction: you may ask us to stop or limit processing where the law allows.
- Complaints: you may complain to your local data-protection authority. Florida residents may contact us with questions under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights; California residents have the rights described in Section 10.
We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
8. Children
Amor Mío is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn a member is under 18 we delete the account and may preserve evidence for law enforcement. If you believe a minor is on the Service, email hola@amormio.love immediately.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to the database is restricted by row-level security so that members can only read their own data and the cards of members shown to them. Login uses one-time codes rather than passwords. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify you as the law requires.
10. California residents
Under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it (Sections 2, 3, and 5), to delete it (Section 7), to correct it, and to be free from discrimination. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the Service. To exercise a right, email hola@amormio.love; we will verify your request through your account email. An authorized agent may act for you with your written permission.
11. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our providers store data there. If you use Amor Mío from outside the U.S., your data is transferred to and processed in the U.S. under appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses with our providers where required.
12. Changes
If we make a material change to this policy we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
